Making History Come Alive

Indiana Dame Sue Ackley, took a series of workshops last winter to learn how to perform a first-person interpretation and spent hours researching her persona. Sue made her debut as Mary Katherine Goddard on Thursday, June 18 at the Carmel Clay Historical Museum. Mary Katherine Goddard was the daring publisher who printed the first official Declaration of Independence with the signers’ names. Sue also took books to the event about her character so guests could learn more. Congratulations, Sue!
