Exhibit at IMA

The Indiana Dames furnished two rooms in the former Lilly House of the Indianapolis Museum of Art in the early 1970s. The rooms were furnished with American furniture of the 18th and early 19th century including the Empire period. These pieces are now shown in the American wing of the museum. Acquisitions continue and recently in collaboration with the museum a purchase was made of a rare, early 19th century armoire built by a French-Canadian cabinetmaker in Vincennes, Indiana.
