Historical Activities

Historical Activities focus in the fields of research, preservation, restoration and education.  The Indiana Society conducts audio/visual oral history interviews with long-time Dames and past presidents in order to preserve the memories of their Dames experiences and historical recollections.

The collection of Ancestor Bibliography Registers for Dames in the Indiana Society will aid in obtaining information on published materials by or about members’ colonial ancestors.

In collaboration with the Indiana Historical Society, the Dames hold Family History Day, an annual event that introduces young people to basic genealogical research, primary and secondary sources and methods for Internet searches for study of their families.
